Butterfly is stage 2. Base XP 30, max XP 80, 50 XP to reach Mosquito. Account level 1 can spawn as Butterfly if you have a spawn use.

Research notes: the Butterfly article supplies its food, predators, and Flower Love skill; XP supplies the 30-80 interval. The Level article explains spawn uses. These sources were reviewed on 13 October 2026, without a Butterfly gameplay test.
Where it sits
Previous stage is Fly. Next is Mosquito at 80 to 150 XP. Spawn uses are limited: 2 gained per day, max 3, renewed every 12 hours. Fly itself does not spend those uses. A flower sit is the documented food plan, not a combat skill.
Flowers, camouflage, and predators
Flowers are the documented food, worth 7 base XP per feeding in the character article. Flower Love is passive camouflage while resting on a flower. It does not prevent damage if a predator finds the hiding place.
The wiki suggests moving between neighboring flowers and remaining above them, where escape is less obstructed. Red Bird, Blackbird, Maroon Bird, Dragonfly, and reapers are listed threats. Wasps also feed around flowers and become Dragonflies at their next evolution, so a currently harmless neighbor may soon become a predator. Recheck border colors when either player evolves.
